Learn the facts about jade! You will see lots of examples of jade look-alikes, jade-fakes, along with different types and grades of jade. Some excellent jade pieces from a private collection will be on display. Handouts will be given with valuable information you won’t find in just any book.

You will learn some very basic steps (using inexpensive tools) which will help you identify real jade. Many websites contain contradictory about jade, but the information you will receive has been verified on a mineral data website.

The difference between what is called “jade” and what is “near-jade” will be fully explained. Even a gemologist can’t always identify real jade without scientific testing. Come and learn all the secrets of jade!

Beautiful jade and serpentine pieces will be for sale after the workshop from 2:30–4:30.

**Note: You do not have to attend the workshop to come to the jade sale. You will rarely ever get to see jade pieces like this for sale for such low prices!!

For tickets:  Purchase tickets the day of the event at SpiritWays, using cash, check, or credit card.  For more information call Gail at (720) 443-3998

Be Remembered by Your Generosity…

“Be remembered by your generosity not  your miserliness, also for saying wise things instead of foolish.”

(One of the 101 Common Sense Principles for a Happier Life)

This is a good time of year to think about what it means to give.  Many gifts will be exchanged during the holidays, but the greatest gift of all is love!

“Money can’t buy you love, but it sure can buy a lot of guitars and drums.”

(One of the 101 Common Sense Principles for a Happier Life)

blue guitarThis saying (from my book) comes to mind when I think about the holiday season.  I think about all the parents that buy their children guitars, drums, and other toy instruments–only later hoping that all of the batteries run out!

I must make a serious confession:  I have been obsessed with guitars and drums since I was a little girl!!  I was denied the drums, but I ended up being very serious about playing the guitar.

Given the chance of obtaining a surplus of money in the future:  I will be opening a studio filled with guitars, amplifiers, speakers, and all types of drums!

It Takes One Step…

“It takes one step at a time to get to the top of the mountain.”

(One of the 101 Common Sense Principles for a Happier Life )

mountain topAchieving a long-range goal is very much like attempting to climb to the top of a mountain. The path can be filled with obstacles; and where there is no trail, one must be created.  It takes focus, courage, and willingness to not give up before reaching the top.

Any experienced mountain climber will explain how important it is to prepare properly for the climb.  Resting along the way is also important.  A successful climber will tell you that the goal was not reaching the top of the mountain, but making it back down safely!
